The staff of Vadodara's Gotri medical college, Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society (GMERS) Medical College, allegedly transfused the wrong blood to a Tuberculosis (TB) patient, as per reports. Following the incident, an inquiry committee was formed and will probe allegations of medical negligence by the nursing staff.
The Medical Superintendent of GMERS, Dr Anup Chandani, reportedly said that the hospital staff administered blood intended for another patient, mistakenly given to the TB patient as both patients were awaiting blood transfusion at the same time. Now, the committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
