Source: , Posted On:   05 July 2026

Serious allegations of medical negligence have surfaced against a doctor at Kurapati Hospital in Hanumakonda after a patient was allegedly forced to undergo treatment at multiple hospitals following an incomplete surgery. According to the family of Lingadari Rajeswara Rao, a farmer from Govindapur village in Shayampet mandal, he was initially admitted to MGM Hospital with severe abdominal pain. They alleged that Dr. Kurapati Ramesh, who was associated with MGM Hospital, advised them to shift the patient to his private hospital after claiming complications had arisen during surgery. The family claimed that during the procedure at Kurapati Hospital, the doctor left the operation midway, stating that the surgery had become difficult and advising an immediate transfer to NIMS, Hyderabad. The patient was later shifted to Yashoda Hospital, where he reportedly received treatment after the family incurred heavy medical expenses. The family demanded strict action, alleging that the patient’s life was put at risk due to negligence and financial motives.
