Dr. Srinivas Kolod, Medical Superintendent of Yerawada Regional Mental Hospital, and Dr. Urmila Shinde, Medical Superintendent of Alandi Rural Hospital, have been assigned to investigate the case.
A two-member inquiry committee has been tasked with investigating the circumstances leading to the death of 44-year-old patient Girish More. The committee has been directed to submit its report within seven days.
Girish More, a resident of Yerawada, was admitted to Aundh District Hospital on January 3 with critically low blood sugar levels (31 mg/dL). Despite showing signs of severe weakness and swelling in his leg, the attending physician, Dr. Amol Bondre, allegedly discharged him on January 10.
