A case of suspected medical negligence has sparked outrage in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district, where a pair of surgical scissors was found from the cremated remains of a woman who died days after undergoing a sterilisation procedure.
The sharp-edged tool was found in a charred state when her ashes were being collected, her family members claimed.
HEALTH DECLINED DAY AFTER OPERATION
The woman had undergone a tubectomy at a local government hospital on January 12. However, her condition started deteriorating just the next day.
Experiencing pain, she was initially brought to Sehore district hospital and was subsequently referred to Bhopal for better medical care, where she died during treatment.
