Family members of patients who died at Jayadeva Hospital staged a protest on Wednesday, alleging medical negligence after 11 patients died at the hospital in a single day. The protesters claimed that doctors were not available during the night and that hospital staff failed to provide clear information about the condition of patients undergoing treatment. They held the hospital responsible for the deaths and demanded action. Videos of the protest later went viral on social media. Police personnel from V.V. Puram Police Station reached the hospital and brought the situation under control. Following the protest, Mysuru Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy and Jayadeva Hospital Director Dr. Dinesh visited the hospital and reviewed the situation. Hospital authorities, however, rejected the allegations of negligence.
