Two persons were arrested by the KPHB police for alleged medical negligence that led to the death of a 66-year-old woman last year, on Wednesday. According to the police, the accused were identified as Penumatsa Srinivas Phanivaram, 46, and Subramanyam Udayagiri, 38. The incident occurred on May 6, 2025, when the deceased was taken to MedQuest Diagnostics Centre in KPHB for treatment for persistent nasal discharge. While the staff was conducting a CT scan, contrast material was allegedly administered to her, police said. As a result, she developed complications moments after the dosage and suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.
