Ahmedabad: The death of a man in Gujarat has sparked anger among his family members who blame medical negligence for the same. Reportedly, the 31-year-old man breathed his last days after undergoing a hair transplant. The man's family has alleged that he died as a result of the negligence shown by doctors.

The man has been identified as Arvind Chaudhary. A resident of Khadosan village in Visnagar taluka of Mehsana, the man used to run a library in the area. He underwent a hair transplant on Jail Road at around 4 pm on September 15. 

Man complained of uneasiness, went to hospital 

Reportedly, Chaudhary stayed at the clinic till 10 pm on September 15. He was later discharged as he was feeling good. After reaching home, Chaudhary consumed some food and slept. 

On September 17, he complained of uneasiness and went to the clinic. The doctors checked Chaudhary and advised hospitalisation as his vitals were slightly abnormal, The Times of India reported. Following this, Chaudhary was admitted to the hospital where the clinic is located. Chaudhary was shifted to the ICU when his health worsened and at around 7.30 am the next day. 

 

Following his death, Chaudhary's family members alleged negligence by the hospital and demanded that a criminal case be lodged against it. The man's body has been sent for an autopsy to ascertain the reason for death. The man's viscera samples have been sent for forensic examination.

Inspector BM Patel, Mehsana B division police station said that further action will be initiated after the forensic and autopsy reports arrive. The statements of the doctor, who performed the transplant, have been recorded.
