    South Korea – 18th August, 2018: Amid the increasing number of patients attacking medical workers in emergency rooms of late, a recent survey shows eight out of 10 Korean doctors have experienced violence firsthand by their patients.

    According to InterMD, an information and knowledge sharing service for doctors, the survey of 1,750 doctors indicated that 1,321 doctors had experienced violence from their patients at hospitals.

    Brighton, UK – 15th August, 2018: A doctor was attacked by a patient and has refused to return to a surgery deemed unsafe, it was revealed today. And a child with asthma had to be sent to hospital because the surgery had no nurse on duty.

    The problems were highlighted as health chiefs backed a decision to close a branch surgery because the family doctors running it said that it was the safest option for staff and patients. As a result the Meadow Parade branch surgery, in Rottingdean, will close at the end of the month, it was confirmed on Tuesday (August 14).
